Hello again.

I spun up this site last summer, when I was looking for a job. Its main purpose was to serve as a bit of a portfolio and a platform for technical writing.

After I found a new job, one which I very much love, I let it slip from the forefront of my mind. And then I blew up the database while trying to get my SSL certificate to automatically refresh. Now that I've settled into the groove at Penguin, I have the time, interest, and energy for rebooting a few personal projects, including this blog.

The blog in particular is going to fulfill my need for a channel for writing that I want to share with the wider world. Some technical stuff that's not directly related to work, some personal stuff which isn't so private that it should be in a journal, stuff like that.

I've been seeing live music more recently, and having a place to review shows I've been to will help sharpen my speaking and thinking on this. I also find that exciting.
